The Vintage Furniture Flea

The Vintage Furniture Flea

Sunday 08 October 2017

Brought to you by Britain’s biggest vintage fair (Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair), The Vintage Furniture Flea will be bringing our finest homeware and furniture traders to Bristol.

Celebrating the styles and palettes of mid-century living, the formula for the Flea is a simple one; gather eclectic vintage traders from all over the globe, check them for whimsical, affordable furniture and homewares from the 1950s and on and set-up shop, just for the day. Featuring everything from Ercol to cocktail shakers, the Flea celebrates the kitsch to the collectible, from Scandi minimalism to statement textiles and prints; sideboards and book cases, glass and ceramics, crockery and fabrics, radios, record players and posters are all part of the fair’s tapestry, providing customers with a day of time travel quite unlike no other.

Featured by the likes of Stylist and Timeout, Flea founder Judy Berger accredits success to a shift in both money and mindset; “once upon a time, shoppers wanted convenience,” she says, remarking on the popularity of brands such as Ikea, “however, nowadays, shoppers are looking for something to invest in. If an Englishman’s home is his castle, he (or she) wants it to be unique, chic and incredibly good quality.” A popular spot with stylists, designers and celebrities (including Henry Holland and Florence Welch), the future of décor lies firmly in the past.
